Intuit delivers. Some ideas for improvements...

I’ve been using TurboTax for years. TurboTax continues to be user-friendly and installs easily. I'm glad you can still purchase the software from the store on CD and install locally on a PC, rather than forcing users to use an online web app (not that it's bad to have that as an option#. The day Intuit discontinues local installs is the day I move to another vendor.
The flexibility to go through all tax topics versus choosing to select the topics you know apply to your own tax situation is a huge convenience. The graphical lay-out of menus, progress lines, and subtle cues make it easy for users to navigate the software intuitively, and jump in and out, backwards, forwards and across topics with ease.
I'd like to see TurboTax enhanced to allow charitable organizations to be re-ordered, either by allowing users to click on column-headers #such as alphabetizing by name, or sorting by cash vs. non-cash or other), or allowing users to manually drag/drop rows.
The new tax topic of health insurance was well-represented, documented and displayed. Whether the user did or did not have insurance, the language used was friendly, non-judgmental, and helpful, including thorough explanations and good examples available via the help topics for various family situations.
I'd like to see ItsDeductible more accessible as a part of the CD installation instead of only an online version, particularly for maintaining future donations lists. I was able to access the menu-driven lists of items with high and medium price suggestions, however I'd like to be able to download these into an Excel spreadsheet for myself to track donations offline on my own throughout the year.
Convenience for some people seems to mean going online for information management, and convenience for other people means managing information offline. It's troubling when management and marketing teams at software companies do not recognize this, and do not develop and offer software for both segments of their customer base. For now Intuit mostly supports both, and I hope they continue to do so in the future.
On the very public apology and rebate offer from Intuit, bravo to the company for that move and rebuilding trust with their customers. The change wasn't anything that impacted me, but it was still heartening to see the press releases and how the company pursued their customers with a follow-up e-mail to ensure notification and awareness. The follow-up communicated that the apology and offer were sincere, not a merely a publicity stunt in the hope that few would actually take them up on their offer.
What's great about it: Available on CD for installs; allows experienced users to select applicable topics for data inputs
What's not so great: Cannot re-order or sort charitable organizations (e.g. alphabetize)

What's great about it: I LIKED EVERYTHING ABOUT TURBO TAX!!!

I've used Turbo Tax for the last 5 years and will continue to use it as long as I am filing, so easy to use, the program walks you through everything, I'm always confident that I've gotten the best possible refund, and I think it's fun to do, that may sound strange but I enjoy the program and seeing my refund change as I work through each category.Can't imagine tax time without Turbo Tax!!!

CONTINUE TO BE THE PROFESSIONAL TAX EXPERTS THAT YOU ARE. I HAVE BEEN USING THIS PROGRAM FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND NEVER A PROBLEM. MY INFORMATION NEVER EXPLOIDED, AND IN TODAYS WORLD THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING. JUST KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!!
What's great about it: NOTHING NOT TO LIKE, YOU COULDN'T GET A TAX ACCOUNTENT TO BE AS THROUGH, GOOD JOB ON ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS.

We have always used Turbo Tax, year after year it is quick, easy and painless to use. Would recommend it to anyone, especially for college kids and their parents.

Why pay big bucks?

Using info from prior years, automatically, is a huge time-saving and error-reducing bonus. Our situation is fairly straight-forward, but itemizing can still be a tricky area.
