I purchased the simple version then was required to buy upgrade.very simple and fast good experience second year was not dissatisfied with overall experience.
What's great about it: quick and simple
What's not so great: did not like not knowing all charges for filling up front
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The other item is for your partner agreements - they don't always work with importing - I believe the messaging could be better for when it is a turbotax issue vs client - aka Fidelity
What's great about it: Simple and Easy
What's not so great: When needed the explanations/help bar could have been better

I really like TurboTax and have used it for years. It seems like I used to be able to navigate to specific forms much easier in previous years. Not sure what was changed, but I wish future versions would bring back the easier navigation to specific forms.
What's great about it: Guided interview is great
What's not so great: Harder to navigate to particular forms

One major problem that I continue to have with TurboTax pertains to Form 8283 Non Cash Charitable Contributions. I donate numerous items to a particular charity, but NONE of the individual items is over $500, but sometimes the total is. As such, I should not be required to fill in columns (e), (f) and (g) in Part I of the form. In column (c), I indicate that there are no single items over $500 and also identify the items given. I override the other columns, but TurboTax will NOT let me e-file this way. PLEASE ADD A QUESTION TO THIS SECTION OF TURBOTAX ASKING IF ANY ITEM IS OVER $500 and if so, don't require the other information in the columns identified above. OTHERWISE WARN, BUT ALLOW THE FILER TO E-FILE WITH OVERRIDDEN INFORMATION.
What's great about it: Like that I don't have to add information each year.
What's not so great: Program thinks it is smarter than people!

Turbo tax is so easy to use, and walks you right through everything. I use it every year..
What's great about it: Very easy to file my state and federal taxes, took less than an hour, walked me through everything.
What's not so great: None-Turbo tax is wonderful!

constant software changes installed

It takes me several sessions to complete the tax returns, and every time i start up Turbo Tax there are software updates that need to be downloaded then installed. Instead of a quick 30 minutes of my time to add more information to my tax forms, I have to go through a lengthy software download, then install, and sometimes reboot. I like Turbo Tax and have used it for years, but I will explore other products next year instead of being a repeat customer.
What's great about it: questions are easy to understand and Help is provided
What's not so great: constant changes to software
