one hiccup

I've used TurboTax for over a decade and have only experienced two problems: 1) one corrupted file during transmission prompted an IRS audit several years ago (it was easily resolved, but still a nuisance) and 2) I was unable to efile my state tax for 2014 without calling Intuit directly (this was the first time this ever occurred and the wait time for a representative was excessive: the representative, however, was very professional and resolved the issue quickly).
What's great about it: easy to use product: covers everything I need
What's not so great: problem with state filing this year

Deceased shouldn't be given opportunity to file electronically. IRS will not accept anything but US Mail.
IRS will mail me forms 1040-ES; don't make it an automatic part of the printout procedure.
Allow this review to be made using Safari browser; had to go to Firefox to tell you this.
When revisiting a portion of program already filled out, keep entries previously entered; don't make me re-enter the information as I might only want to make one minor change.
For next year tax planning, offer a what-if scenario so that I can make future estimated payments without having to show the one-time income receipts that jacked up my taxes this year.

multiple 1099R seem to require info which doesn't change year to year.
not a serious flaw but once a 1099R is entered that is not for a public safety pension you would think that the answer would carry to the next year input. i.e. my California Public Employees Retirement System has never been so indicated yet each year the info is requested.
No big thing.
All in all, you do excellent work.

Overall, it is the best (and cheapest) tax preparation program on the market. I did not like the new names for the different versions. Go back to calling it what it is!
What's great about it: Step by step it explains what infoOverallrmation is needed and most of the questions the location of the information
What's not so great: Some of the screens, (one in particular) it doesn't give the path to exit the screen.

Completing and filing TTax Deluxe Simple

Completing and filing Turbo Tax Deluxe was simple and easy to use.
Just have all records at hand before starting and there should be no problem.

The only con I have is the cost of E-filing the NC State tax, but T-Tax gives you the option of E-filing the Fed and mailing the State to save the cost.
What's great about it: Easy to Complete and to file.
What's not so great: Cost of E-filing State tax
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I love Flags!

TurboTax Deluxe has never let me down, and this tax year is no exception. I hope to keep using it for years to come.
What's great about it: Flagging topics lets you easily come back later to fill in missing info
What's not so great: I don't get to use TurboTax again for 11 months
