So Easy

I have used Turbo Tax for years and I have never had any problems. Very easy to use and tells you everything you need.

TurboTax is easy to use and quite efficient.
What's great about it: Guidance through process
What's not so great: Failed to flag state sales tax deduction, which was missed check of deductions.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

spent long time trying to figure out instructions & inputs for casualty loss. your help screen was no real help & the labels did not vaguely resemble the IRS pub info.
What's great about it: seems to be pretty thorough
What's not so great: some help & search screens very confusing

Too long to file due to confussion on joint filing

Your deluxe did not provide clear directions on how to file a married filing joint return. It did not provide for this. I had to go back too many times. I could not find a clear way to file a return until I make approximately 12 attempts. This was a mess.

pennsylvania state software is terrible!

1.-the interest worksheet was correct. The pa form had incorrect figures which made my taxable interest higher than it should have been. (Before I filed my taxes an update did correct this problem. But I do not see how the PA software could have been released with this error.) --2.-I spent hours trying to enter a 1099-misc with 250.00 in box 3 (other income) .The options available to choose to enter the income under do not cover "other income". What is needed is an option "other income and it is all taxable." I tried some of the options that were available and they had me going in circles in my state return. There has to be a better way of filing your taxes than turbotax and I for one am going to look somewhere else!
What's great about it: I'm hard pressed to find one right now!
What's not so great: I could file my state taxes much faster with a pencil and paper!

Was easy to use again this year.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Some items used last year (2013) returns were inserted into 2014 return so they had to be deleted
