help me get a refund

Turbo Taxes is okay and once you can understand it and how it works. your okay . but my things is what if you don't know nothing about taxes and you doing for the first time and trying it on your on. you wouldn't know what to do after you enter your w2
What's great about it: i like help that gave me
What's not so great: i really didnt understand alot
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Over all I love turbo tax! It was great , nice easy fast very clear in details. work you you throw every step. keep up the good work!

1099 misc changes

I like the product overall but having to file on the 1099 and being required to upgrade is garbage.

What's not so great: My tiny book royalty income and the 1099 misc function stunk

Missed input of 1099-G Said it would ask later but did not. Had to go back and update that part.

As Good As It Can Get

Every time we use TurboTax, we always feel as though we have submitted a thorough return. We feel that we can get all of our questions answered so we are providing a trusted, flawless document that will never come back to haunt us.
What's great about it: Easy, quick explanations that are understandable
What's not so great: The fact that I'm doing my taxes.

2014 Tax Return

Overall, a great program. I allowed Turbo Tax to walk me through the returns and it was very thorough and simple. My return is not complicated however, consisting primarily of retirement income (pension), child deductions, and mortgage interest deductions. It will be interesting in a few years when I begin to write off my oldest child's college expenses.
The beginning of the State return is a bit confusing because it pre-loads the State my income is in, but when entering "Continue" the program goes in circles back to the select a State screen. I finally figured out I had to pick "Edit" State and then "Continue" - even though I did not make a change from the State already selected for my return.
Overall, a great program. I will most likely use it next year.
What's great about it: Fairly Simple if Turbo Tax walks you through
What's not so great: A little confusing at beginning of State return

Very good program, but is it sufficiently secure?

TurboTax is a very good program. I've used it for many years and will probably continue to do so. Hacking & identity theft are not just TurboTax problems and intuit is not going to single-handedly resolve these problems. But I would like to see intuit research & develop additional TurboTax security measures during the "off season" and then begin implementation of these before the beginning of next Tax season.
What's great about it: Choice of Step-by-Step or Expolring On You Own
What's not so great: TurboTax needs to do more to make the filing process more secure
