Stressed at first

I purchased the Deluxe package for desktop, which is now the 6th time I have used Turbo Tax, because of how in depth they go inquiring about all incomes and trying to get you the largest possible deductions and returns possible. I initially installed the software, but later found that it did not include my State Tax form, like stated on the back of the box. I was then required to pay and download the State form, to much chagrin, it did not work for me either. After this struggle I was very frustrated and called and got an incident ticket and later that day i had a response back on a phone call by a very cordial, professional, courteous, and helpful lady. She was able to reimburse me for the download that did not work and to assist me in getting my State form properly downloaded and installed with my taxes intact and made the rest of my filing relaxing. Thank you for the Excellent customer support.
What's great about it: I like the ease of all the questions to make you think about either your incomes or deductions, and some you didnt even
What's not so great: Aggravated at first about Deluxe not having the state returns included.

TT Mostly Very Good

After all these years, TT needs to be able to recognize what all those items are in Box 14 of the W-2. Things like "Section 125" which are pension contributions and UIC (Unemployment Insurance Compensation) are still a mystery to TT?
Also, my wife just began receiving pension distributions during 2014. ALL of her distributions from 2014 and the majority in 2015 will be NON-TAXABLE by the State of NJ. However this was not where TT was leading me. After further research I found that I had to override several lines on the NJ1040.
What's great about it: As usual no problems with federal part
What's not so great: NJ State return could use some improvement
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

A "Required Information" snapshot for basic information required to file, right at the beginning would be helpful.

Tax return

Very good software does exactly what it is supposed to and does it well. I went for the deluxe software just to be sure that I got my maximum refund and I did. The thing that bothered me was I had already paid for the deluxe software I still had to pay the refund processing fee which was much unexpected as I had previously filed by hand. I understand that i can just print out the forms but kind of defeats the purpose of the software for me because I would like my refund as soon as possible. overall I liked the product quite a lot and will use it to prepare my taxes again.
What's great about it: Easy fast got maximum refund
What's not so great: Hidden refund processing fee

Challenging

I struggled a bit more this year than usual. Especially with the Obamacare section. I revisited it about four times before I figured out how to enter the information. (See previous item) My rating reflects this.
What's great about it: I like being able to work on our tax returns at my convenience.
What's not so great: Instructions occasionally are not clear or at all

Uber-easy!

Excellent software. Easy to use, covers everything I could imagine that might be taxable or a deduction. Informative help screens.
What's great about it: Very quick, thorough and comprehensive
What's not so great: Couldn't find where to save & close it so I could review docs and then re-open
