Turbo Tax gets better every year. This year's tax return only took me 90 minutes. And the Audit Risk gauge at the end provides one last sanity check.

10 years with Turbo Tax

I have filed with Turbo Tax for the last 10 years. Each year the guiding process that Turbo Tax uses for those who prefer to do their own taxes are more detailed, informative and easier to follow and complete. Excellent job !!! Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow. Don't have to learn all the new changing tax laws. Turbo Tax informs and suggest how to use.
What's not so great: Could give more examples
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy Peasy!

I would like to have more info regarding how I can do even better next year, but this product is efficient and easy and keeps getting even better. I have used Turbo Tax for more than 20 years...and counting!
What's great about it: Increasingly Easy to use and efficient.
What's not so great: Limited explanations

I have a very small side business (less than $300 income) and it wouldn't let me enter info without upgrading to Home & Business. I know it's free this year but then it would probably want me to use it next year too (which probably wouldn't be free). I had to go to the actual forms to enter the info myself.
On the upside, it did most calculations for me and asked a lot of questions that were easy to answer. I like that it pulled info from last year for me too.
What's great about it: Does calculations for me
What's not so great: Kept trying to update me to Home & Business

I've been using TurboTax for years. Unfortunately now that I live abroad I have to pay for TurboTax delux, which in my opinion is kind of pricey. However, it's worth it.
What's great about it: Easy, helpful, clear
What's not so great: Expensive

Nothing much to add, except I, along with a lot of others, it seems, was not favorably impressed by the downgrading you did to the Deluxe version.
What's great about it: Filling out the tax forms went okay.
What's not so great: Ran into trouble filing my state return. The procedure was confusing. I filed it by mail.

Unhappy with Changes

I've used TurboTax for many, many years and was appalled to learn of the changes that required you to buy a more expensive version to file capital gains. Big mistake by TurboTax. Huge. I hope to see this corrected for next year or I may seek an alternative. Very disappointed.
What's great about it: Easy to File
What's not so great: Change that you have to buy more expensive version for capital gains
