Very handy. I would like to have more ways to question things such as; when you cash in an annuity early you get taxed at that time but then you also get taxed again because it's considered as income. I would like to have been warned about that and would like to have a bank of information to draw from. So many hidden loop holes that benefit the government. We don't know about them until we get hit on our returns. Thank you.
What's great about it: Very few stumbling blocks.
What's not so great: None really. Paucity and clarity of words and directions is always possible.

couldn't find a form 843 and therefore couldn't get my social security overpayment had to send it my mail
What's great about it: can be easy to navigate

HAD TO RE-SUBMIT BECAUSE THE W-2 IMPORTED SOME DUPLICATE NUMBERS,

What's great about it: Easy to use , just have all your figures ready before you start only 1 hour on computer.

I have used this program for years and it just got so much easier. I like that I can click on certain sections for further information. The ability to upload W2's is great.

I've used Turbo Tax for many years and find it very helpful. I have a tax background and knowledge, but I use it because I might miss a deduction on my own.

2014 Tax Filing Expedition

I've filed my taxes with Turbo Tax (TT) for a long as I can remember. The only real change has been the complexity in my finances as I've had to become an adult. (buy cars, a house, dependents, etc.) TT has always done an excellent job of walking me through all the necessary documents/info and let me know if i didn't qualify for a deduction or a particular tax status. The constant updates for State forms and tax schedules were seamless and transferring information from year to year has been quick.
My girlfriend and I are not married but we share the mortgage, donation, and sales tax deductions. It would be nice to be able to input both our information and model our tax scenarios and show how to maximize our net refund as two single filers.

What's great about it: The questions/prompts were straight forward, and the explanations of why i didn't qualify were clear
What's not so great: Ability to easily do side by side comparisons for tax scenarios
