was able to complete tax returns in less than six hours, even with the screens hard to read Confident my refunds were the max I could receive.
What's great about it: Covered all income and deductions
What's not so great: screens were difficult for me to read.

Update Issues Once Again

Every year I have to do a manual download to my desktop and then merge it into my files. Updates take forever until the program locks my computer and I have to do it manually. A very frustrating quirk for an otherwise really nice software program. I like that I can buy it once and use it to file myself and then also my children's 1040EZ, instead of chasing around at different sites and different forms. All the Federal filings are free to e-file.
What's great about it: When it works, it works fine
What's not so great: Every year I have to do a manual download to my desktop and then merge it into my files.

Easy and Clear

A very easy program to use. was kind of dreading filing my returns this year due to the fact i am a new homeowner, i thought it was going to be long and difficult even being a previous turbotax user. it only took a couple hours (even with my very limited computer skills) it walked me through everything step by step and its cheaper than using a professional preparer.

I have used turbo tax for many years and see no reason to switch now, especially since I am retired and have so much less to deduct.
What's great about it: walks you thru with option to do it yourself if desired
What's not so great: little short on explanations of certain things i.e. MSA

It works quickly and you can complete it in short order. The most annoying thing for me is that you will jump to another page to perform a task and when you return, you are not returned to your jumping off point. This means that for every stinking part or section, you have to keep scrolling to get to where you left off and is totally aggravating.
What's great about it: Thorough and well documented
What's not so great: When you return to a prior page after completing a part, you return to the top of the page instead of where you left it.

Great service

Being a bookkeeper by trade, I had no problems with the paper filing, but Turbo Tax makes it so easy. And all the helpful hints are great and I have found things I didn't even know I could deduct!!
What's great about it: So quick, so easy
What's not so great: It might just be my Mac, but I wish the screen was bigger so I didn't have to scroll so much.

i'm un-happy with the results

I have used Turbo Tax for several years with good results. This year not so good. It cost more to buy-I was to receive i free state file but had to pay before it would let me file. I am 73 years old and still working to make ends meet. Any thing extra puts a burden on me. NOW my return that I had to pay to file is being held because of fraud.The Courier-Journal newspaper has a full article. 150,000 returns halted and personal information comprised. I'm sorry for your company but I am also sorry for the people who depend on their return for a little extra money. I have never received public assistance
What's not so great: had to pay to file my state tax when I had a free one . now i understand my state tax will be held due to fraud
