Overall a quality piece of software. Makes the process much less cumbersome than doing everything from scratch. Helpful directions as you proceed. Indicates errors or omissions. Have used Turbo Tax for decades,
What's great about it: step-by-step useful

2014 Federal and State Returns

Turbo-Tax referred to 'that person' when entering data on amount /received as a beneficiary of our son's 401K after he passed away on 9/26/1014. I do not feel confident that I reported that income correctly.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Did not know how to report income as a beneficiary of deceased son's 401K Pension

Turbo tax provides great guidance as you are walked through your taxes step by step. Great Product!
What's great about it: Provides suggested deductions we may have not thought about.
What's not so great: No cons.

Turbo Tax take the pain out of doing taxs

Been with Turbo Tax for years. and some years they are great in changing to the needs of the people, others, been some hiccups in the programs that has created issues you might need to do on your own. this year has been a pain. they have the same name but does not offer the same components that last year did, some have very similar name but does not offer the state. But sure does make it easy if they are all there.
What's great about it: They cover everything you need to do what you need
What's not so great: They made it confusing on what Turbo Tax you need this year by changing the componants of the different versions.

I HAVE FILED MY TAXES WITH TURBOTAX FOR OVER TEN YEARS AND I RELY ON THIS PROGRAM TO DO MY RETURNS CORRECTLY AND WITH GREAT SPEED. THANKS FOR A GREAT PRODUCT.

This time it was more difficult!

1. You made it very hard to find your chat and phone helpline (since last year) - had to google it! 2. You should make a toggle button at the top to allow us to change our minds halfway through the process, if we chose "the manual walk-through" or the "guided walk-through". I thought I wasn't seeing everything I should have through the manual and wanted to double-check with the guided, but couldn't undo my choice. 3. It would be nice if Turbo Tax would have a "What's New" document for each state and for Federal taxes each year. Just a quick heads-up, so we aren't searching for THREE HOURS for an exemption that doesn't exist anymore - just saying....
What's great about it: Can walk through the steps that you might have forgotten to do.
What's not so great: Harder to find help and to get back to find missing parts

Password or Lack of Password Concerns

I just heard that Minnesota had a large number of hackers. This begs the question. Why don't you add in the personal data section the importance of a password to our tax records. This could be started immediately and more information on what we could do to keep records secure.
What's great about it: Data collection is efficient.
What's not so great: Possible Hacking of Information, Difficult to enter homeowner window and door upgrades

Personnel Rocks

I had a terrible time locating a telephone number for personal assistance. I made a copy of the software agreement. Without it I would not have been able to call. Most people don't make copies of this agreement. My State tax refund was rejected and I could not get passed the orginal screen to correct any mistakes. Sarana help locate a mistake which caused the problem in very short time. I'm so glad. I have used Turbo Tax for 10 years and have never had a rejection. It was great to have personal assistance. Without it, I would not have been able to find the mistake. I can't say enough good things about Sarana. She is definitely an asset to your company. She was pleasant, courteous, and patient with me. Thanks again. Mrs. Malloy
What's great about it: Pleasant personnel like a trusted friend
What's not so great: You need to include your telephone number in bold type throughout Turbo Tax.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
