more user friendly than ever before

TurboTax has made it easier than ever to file your taxes. All you have to do is enter the current information. By transferring the previous year's information you have eliminated the possibility of mistakes being made because the person filing has list last year's information. This is one of the few things that has gotten easier and now a days that means a lot. Thank you for helping the common man.
What's great about it: transfer of precious years info
What's not so great: upload a little too slow

Convenient and easy for a busy household

Taxes take time; for a busy family, entering the data gets done in small spurts. This software asked questions and organized information in a very straightforward way. All data was saved automatically so I could easily pick up where I left off. I really appreciate the helpful hints and explanations about specific forms.

I have used Turbo tax for years. This year's version was not up to par, further compounded by a lack of response from "customer service".
What's not so great: This year's program would not e-file as advertised. I eventually had to print out a hard copy and snail-mail it!

Choosing Turbo Tax was very confusing this year. Primarily because I was not sure if I needed investment income forms, that now is in the Premier Pkg but not the Deluxe Pkg, that I used in past years. I received a 1099-R form from Edward Jones. To me that means investment income and would require the Premier Pkg. After more investigation I bought the Deluxe Pkg and it did take care of the 1099-R form. Very confusing for us non-professional tax preparers. Also, I could not access my past history this year. I did have to change my address because last year I transposed 2 numbers, is that why?

needed 2013 AGI and could,t retrieve it. 2013 turbo was transferred to 2014 and had no options but to transfer when I opened up the file. had to call support to retrieve it.
The Jackson Mi local return is all messed up. Doesn't
subtract taxes I paid in from amount owed ( use it as non resident). When I printed taxes for records Jackson tax form had Do not file and form not final wrote across it. Have never had this form come out right. I've always had to do taxes by hand.
I could not execs this form again to see it for fixing purpose. Only when I printed it did see mess. Doesn't com close to the Jackson form I receive from State of Mi.

The Only Way To Do Your Taxes

I got into Turbo Tax years ago when some co-workers mentioned how easy it was. I envisioned that it was only an electronic version of the IRS forms. The question system makes it so easy and I've recommended it to others. The ability to file electronically makes the whole process a breeze.

I've used TurboTax for upwards of 7 years now and have only been disappointed when it turns out I underwitheld.
What's great about it: Year to year data transfer; yes/no questions; tips/info links
What's not so great: (Picky) the need to scroll to bottom of lengthening list as you progress through various topics in the main categories
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments
