have used this software for more than 10 yrs. found it frustrating to not have an option of setting my own password to protect the data...when selecting the password option a window with my turbtotax website popped up so only option was to use that password...also could not manage to import data from prior year return. was able to import 1099 data which was very time saving. found some of the prompts for information in the charitable giving section to be obscure...also required entry of some charitable organizations addresses to be entered twice.
What's great about it: thorough review of deduction options; import option from financial institutions
What's not so great: can not set one's own password;did not import data from prior year

confusing

Something must have changed, because I never had a problem before with 1099 forms. Re- checking added a lot of time, and I am exhausted.
Perhaps you could add a few more options to check for reason for 1099 income. None applied in my case.

Last time with TurboTax

This is the last year I am using TurboTax. I was not aware that small business forms were not available in the Deluxe edition. TurboTax is all about making money...for themselves. No more from me!!
What's great about it: Still cheaper than taking it to an accountant
What's not so great: No support in Deluxe pkg for Small Business forms

Great to use

This is the easiest turbo tax to date. I've been using this product for all of 15 years, an this is the best one. the questions were to the point and easy to answer.
What's great about it: This year it was even easier to use program.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great tax software and a lot easier than making an appointment with the tax preparer , bringing them your paperwork, wasting three hours of your time.......

Saddly unexpected

I went ahead and ordered my copy of Turbo Tax like I do each year. Then once I start to process my taxes I'm shocked to find I have to pay for a state! After all these years this was not what I expected from Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Same as usual
What's not so great: Did not come with one free state!
