TurboTax Keeps Me Focused!

TurboTax provides me with efficient and accurate results -- and catches oversights, which can make a big difference. We are fairly astute about household finances (and one of us taught personal and family finance for years), so tax concepts aren't foreign. However, this software makes the whole process of return preparation a relative snap.
What's great about it: I like the step-by-step process and the option of looking at the forms for cross-checking. Automatic updates are great.
What's not so great: Explanations of state rules could be clearer.

Always easy to use and concise. I am very concerned that you stripped out anything to so with investments. If that is the case for 2015 tax software, you will have lost a customer. BTW, have been with TurboTax for over 10 years
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Stripping out stock items from Deluxe, very bad

I believe you have got it right. This could not be easier to use and file. Less than an hour to complete state and federal taxes and then file them.
What's great about it: Very easy to use and follow.

Easy with reservations

I got hung up in the Business ownwership section during final review. I tried to go back and delete anything that was in the section, that didn't work. tried to delete the business that didn't work. So at final review I entered nothing, and submitted. I first printed off everything that was going to Fed and State. Those forms did not appear to be included. Glich in the program.
What's great about it: Easy to enter data. Software flows nicely
What's not so great: Can't back out of a section and then delete
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I feel confident with your product doing the calculations, but I believe you do not give enough directions for those difficult areas like HSA which don't always jive with the information on their form. You don't make the decision easy enough to understand or use the wrong verbiage. Your help section is not defined enough to be all that helpful.
What's great about it: That I feel confident that the return is handled correctly.
What's not so great: The directions are often times obscure without enough to help you make a decision on the "involved" items like HSA.

My experience

My experience as a whole was great. It took me a little over an hour to file my taxes and get everything squared away. The only thing that was a little annoying for me was when I was asked about alot of the things that seemed like common sense. I am a 24 year old so clearly I dont qualify for retirement or Medicare.
Other than that, very user friendly and I had no hiccups.
