taxes away

ran error check and one error came upthjis was due to a w2 that only had non taxable sick pay in box12a and nothing in box 1 - could not file electronicly but the program prompted me to. it left a question do i file electronicly or by mail
What's great about it: easy to follow easy to enter data covered all areas of return well
What's not so great: there were a few items that were confusing and almost caused a mistake one item - what to do with cafeteria plan in nj

2014 Turbo Tax Wins Again

It's always a great product, but the one issue I had with it this year is I had to upgrade to "Deluxe". For the last 10 yrs or so I have been able to use Basic, as it did the 1040 form without a lot of the additional forms. I need to itemize deductions and 2014 Basic only does the 1040EZ form. I have free State filing online, so I do not need to use Turbo Tax State.
What's great about it: Simple to use, Guided entry, does a lot of the work for you
What's not so great: Have to repeat entries when reviewing

Overall it was easy to use. Walk me through all the areas I needed any help with and perform easily. As a past user I was able to complete my return in a smooth efficient manner.

TurboTax fits my needs as well as any tax service, My life isn't complex. TT asks the right questions to help me find legit deductions and what forms are needed. I have a basic knowledge of taxes and TT does the rest. I'm satisfied.
What's great about it: asks the right questions, informative.
What's not so great: Doesn't pay the taxes due...

I have been using Turbo Tax for something like 15 years. I can always rely on it to get me through all the fun of tax preparation. My only 2 complaints: it was difficult to figure out how to add my car donation (nothing in guide me through the deduction helped, finally clicked I'll value my own deduction); and seriously I love the free federal e-file so, can we get free state too!!! Really only minor complaints. See you next year Turbo Tax!

The federal filing is very straight forward and easy to do. When doing multiple state tax forms for the first time it is a little confusing. Because it doesn't transfer your dollar figures, you have to add them and depending how you identify your residency determines how your taxes are calculated.
What's great about it: like the step by step
What's not so great: a little confusing when doing multiple states, downloading the state forms is expensive
