2014 Federal Taxes

Due to some complex issues , I hadn't used Turbotax in a few years. Since we only had a simple return, It was quick, easy, comprehensive and very affordable. I'm happy that I was able to return for this year and moving forward.
What's great about it: Thorough and complete

Quick and easy

First time user last year -- I was scared to death. Much more confident this year and went through quickly. Happy with my return!

Fast Work

Great software--just a few glitches, or more correctly, it took me a few tries to print final result.
What's great about it: I could quickly work through the questions and was done in probably 1/2 hour.
What's not so great: Kept asking me if I wanted to file a state return. I'm a resident of Florida and have no need to do so..

Overpriced

Software works well but so do other options that are less expensive. I have used for many years and do not like the deletion of some forms from the deluxe version. Cost of software is too expensive and the cost to e-file state return is too much.

Still the best!

Nothing more to say, really. The 2014 version of Turbo Tax is the exact same, awesome program that I've been using for the past 5 years or so, now.
It certainly saves me a lot of time, by going through step by step with me, and taking care of all the calculations. I have a lot of peace of mind by filing with Turbo Tax.
I heard some people were disappointed with some of the features being left out of the deluxe version, but it seems intuit has made right by those people.
If you have all your forms ready to go, and have done your do diligence during the year... You won't be disappointed.
What's great about it: Easy to use, great refund, easy tools, feel like it's very through.
What's not so great: I was under the impression State filing was free this year... it was not. :(

As usual, very pleased with this product, the way it is layed out, and ease of use. I especially appreciate the information boxes which mention the type of form and very clear descriptions of what it would be used for. I will have a child as a college student next year and I printed out these "explanations" for my preparation of what supporting documentation I should retain this fall. Thanks again TurboTax for the continued attention to detail you always show.
What's great about it: Explanation boxes have very thorough answers to questions.

Great Tax Filing

We have used TurboTax for many years and it just gets better and easier to use each year.
Wife had state income taxes withheld in error in a state with no income taxes for retired Federal employees. As a result the amount withheld did not transfer over to our state form from the Federal form. We had to enter the amount on to the state form manually to obtain a refund.
What's great about it: TurboTax Deductions and Homeowners was very easy to use and got us a larger refund than we had expected.
What's not so great: Didn't recognize state income taxes listed on Federal forms for transfer to state form..
