A little less satisfied with 2014

I am not sure what was done with the program, but it just did not calculate the same. I owed immediately after entering my W-2's vs. last year I did not. No changes made to my deductions and it was just not the same. Got an email that the company was sorry but was not eligible for the refund, why send the email?
What's great about it: Free e-file
What's not so great: updates and not like it was last year (2013)

Last Time I use Turbo TAX

This is the last time I will ever use Turbo TAX. I have used it three years in a row and will not be using it again. The cost of downloading an additional state return is simply to high!
What's great about it: It is easy
What's not so great: Extra State tax form downloads cost way to much!

The forms were very simple to fill out but when it came to Efile I had to go online and search to find out why it would not work after some searching and much frustrution I had to change a couple of the security setting under internet options and reboot my computer to make Efile work. I paid good money for your product and feel that I should not have to do the research to make it work I may try another product next year.

Fast, easy, reliable

I've used TurboTax for over ten years and I really appreciate it's process of step by step instructions. If you have your tax documents ready (w2, 1099, charitable contributions, etc) TurboTax will guide you through the return process. It even makes State returns a breeze!
What's great about it: Simplifies a very confusing subject
What's not so great: No negatives
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Quick and Easy

I've never used another software, so I can't compare it to anything. It is much easier and convenient than doing it long hand.
What's great about it: I appreciate the constant updates and explanations.
What's not so great: Because of the issue or error on Turbo Tax's part in filing State taxes, this year I've been nervous about using it.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Disappointed

The installation of TurboTax Deluxe 2014 on a Mac was extremely time consuming and difficult. We spent hours in a loop, TurboTax insisted an update was available, we were forced to update TurboTax, update failed and then TurboTax terminated. Very frustrating! Once I finally found the work around (not straight forward) we chose to have TurboTax import information from last year, but as we went through the return, we still had to fill out all of the information. The import feature is now worthless. Will be looking for another tax filing solution for next year.
What's great about it: Quickly filled out return once TurboTax installed
What's not so great: Installation was extremely difficult on a Mac
