Love Turbo Tax

I have been using Turbo Tax for years now and I have been very happy with the results. I like that I can file my returns with confidence that all my information is correctly input and that I will get the best refund available. I like that I can stop when I need to and pick up again when I am ready and I like the fact that if I have questions or need help someone is always ready with the answers. Turbo Tax does the work so I don't have to.
What's great about it: Easy and simple instructions, attention to details, lets me go at my own speed
What's not so great: Has become a little pricey over the years

While very common things like 1098-Mortgage Assistance isn't addressed, TurboTax Deluxe (by far) outperforms the competition.
Annually, I do competitors' online systems to double check and, to date, TA, HRB, etc., have yet to match the refund, items covered, etc.
It is amazing that there are differences, it must be that Intuit actually has people familiar with tax code.
What's great about it: Maximum refunds and thoroughness
What's not so great: Common things not addressed

Great if you have everything you need on hand

As long as you have all of your year-end paperwork (1099's, etc.) on hand, and you are at least mostly familiar with your IRA, health insurance and medical deductions, this is a perfect way to file your taxes on your own. Anything too complicated should be handled by a pro anyway, but for most simple tax returns this is the way to go. We have used Turbo Tax for many years and never had an issue or problem.
What's great about it: Walks you through each step and lets you know what you don't need
What's not so great: Some of the wording for deductions is still confusing

I've used Turbo Tax for many years and it just keeps getting better and better! It takes only around 2 to 3 hours (if you have your information readily available) and for me is kind of fun to watch the refund change for the better. Thanks!
What's great about it: Used it for years and it keeps getting better and better each year.
What's not so great: Expand your list of institutions for automatic retrieval of data.

Quick, Detailed and Easy

This version of TurboTax is better than ever. I especialy liked the new breakdown and estimated value of non-cash donations. Now I know exactly what to keep track of in 2015. I also like the new print area. By placing the forms in a PDS format they can either be stored online or printed with the option of double sided print.
What's great about it: Ability to either go through everything or choose a particular form.
What's not so great: None
