Every year it gets easier

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years. It's a great product that takes the sting out of tax time.
What's great about it: step by step questions and instructions, understandable FAQ link
What's not so great: It's free online so my adult children are wondering why I am still paying for it every year.

Went very smooth except . . .

As per usually, filing your taxes with TurboTax is very easy. I really like the way your information is transferred from the previous year and in most cases this has been extremely helpful. Unfortunately I filed an amended return 3 months after the original return last year. As a result, I needed to send the IRS and my home state checks for the refund overpayment. My 1099-G did not reflect the correct refund amount and there were no clear instructions in TurboTax as to where the differing amount should be included. Also, as I mentioned under Cons, TurboTax is one of the most, if not the most expensive pieces of tax preparation software on the market. If this continues, TurboTax will loose loyal customers.
What's great about it: easy to use; pulls information from previous year
What's not so great: price; no clear way to include amended return information

Never by hand again

I started using turbo tax when I had to start filing my taxes and my mother's taxes. It made it all a breeze. I'll never go back to filing by paper forms again.

Have used for years-First time there was a problem

I have used Turbo Tax for years to do my personal taxes. For some reason it did not recognize my wife's state WH, No big deal, it was only $64-but it recognized it on the W2G but did not recognize it on the return-so the return shows no refund. Problem is Turbo Tax does not have a phone number for support-that I can find anywhere. I also purchased the same product I always do and found out that this year's version allows for only ONE state income tax return. It did not make this known on the packaging when I bought it-this was disappointing to me.
What's great about it: good, detail instructions
What's not so great: apparently did not recognize my state WH and only 1 state return allowed

always easy money

i have been a customer since 1997 and have never been disappointed. after all of the negative hype leading up to this years rollout, i still was as satisfied as ever. good job t tax
What's great about it: file my taxes in less than an hour, have easily retrievable records
What's not so great: when reviewing income and deductions you have to keep scrolling down to where you were working
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax is the Way to go

I have used turbo tax for years now and my refund is always quick and AWESOME. It only takes a few moments to do what by hand is an arduous process!! I will continue my use of Turbo Tax.

I have been using Turbo tax since 1998 when I got a offer to try and before I knew it I was done. Now it is like I have my own personal CPA.
