I've used TurboTax for several years now. I love this product because I can file my taxes from the convenience of my own home. It is very intuitive, and every step of the process is explained very well. I also love that TurboTax grabs all the information from last year, so I don't need to populate everything over again. I would recommend this product to everyone, and I will definitely be using TurboTax again next year!
What's great about it: Easy to use. You can't miss anything!

Great stuff!

I switched from Tax Act three years ago. I'm kicking myself for not switching sooner. All my friends and co-workers use TurboTax and EVERYONE has nothing but good to say about it. Whether your tax situation is simple, like mine, or complicated, TurboTax has what it takes.

Major Issues this year

Used TT for years and this was the worst experience I've ever had with the system. I use Chrome and do not have Internet Explorer on my computer which evidently is required for any and all updates. It took me 2 weeks to wait on filing because the govt hadn't updated TT so that was kind of annoying. I spend literally 3 hours on the phone on 3 occasions with tech people who could not figure out the updater. I had to file on an old laptop computer that had IE. Why doesn't the software work with Google Chrome?
What's great about it: does all of the tough work for me
What's not so great: had major issues with the updater

E File did not work for federal or state ... Printed out mailed. Will go back to Tax act next year. Sorry......To many questions on this.

What's not so great: You did not say prior to filing that the state E file Cost extra

Always great - but . . . . .

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have been very satisfied. Last year and this year it has been a hassle to complete my tax return because the 1099-K form. All the other 1099's worked out great.
What's great about it: very complete, detailed and accurate.
What's not so great: Hassle to use the 1099 - K form.

Turbo Tax Deluxe

I have used Turbo Tax for years and always loved it. The unexplained changes between Basic, Deluxe and Premier this year have me boiling mad.
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: You don't get the Schedules you need (like last year) and packaging doesn't tell you that

it's always fast and easy, introduced the program to new users this years. Always great reviews, always on time. no second guessing what your doing just follow the instructions it's the easiest program ever!
