I like being able to go through it at my pace and yet feel like I covered everything. Explanations are very helpful.
What's great about it: can go at my own pace

Excellent tax tool.

For a pretty typical long form individual tax return it has everything needed. I like that it can walk you through, or let you select the forms you want to use. Made calculating college education credit super easy.
What's great about it: Easy to install and use.
What's not so great: Cost could be a little less.

Tax 2015

I have always bought the basic version and it covered everything I needed to do in previous years. The issue of having to do a significant upgrade to be able to do my taxes are ridiculous.
The state part of the taxes was outrageous to pay such a large fee. Not worth doing the state taxes through Turbo Tax at all. Save your programming time and remove the State portion from the software if you are going to have to charge such high fees.
What's great about it: Most of it was simple
What's not so great: Did not like the outrageous fees for the state taxes and the lack of ability on the basic version

Speed & clunkiness

Turbo tax is still unbelievably slow. Also, there are places where you would expect data you have entered to persist, but it is actually volatile. Here's an example (there are others): I entered all the data for my 1099-MISC. I then wanted to change only the amount on line 1. As a result, I had to go through ALL the 1099-MISC pages (which is bad enough), but also had to recheck some of the previously entered boxes such as "none of the above". This is a real pain, and slows down the entire process inordinately.
What's not so great: Slow, clunky

It's done!

From opening the package to being done - approximately 2 1/2 hours and I'm confident it's done correctly based on the fact it provides a 5 year history of returns.
