Very Thorough Program

This is our second year of using Turbo Tax and it worked perfectly. As stated above when we got to the section related to retirement income and the 1099 R form it only allowed one person at a time to enter information. It had a little button for either myself or my spouse and we were confused as to how to get the program to grab both of our income input. We finally found the tab that stated "Add another 1099 R" and after that everything worked flawlessly.
What's great about it: Covers every area of personal taxes, provides information and hints as you go through the program.
What's not so great: We only had one area of confusion as we went through related to retirement income for both of us filing a joint return.

Love Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: That it will pull in all our info from last year's forms. saves a lot of time. Walks you through child custody situation
What's not so great: you have to go through all the steps when you know none of them apply to you.

Continues to be our go to

We have been using Turbo Tax to file our taxes for ten years. For your average consumer, with typical deductions, it not only provides you with an accurate return, but is super easy to use. I can download and file my taxes in about 30 minutes.
