Year Number Four of Awesomeness

This has been year number four that I use Turbotax and it has been a breeze using the software. No more waiting for a tax person to prepare my taxes.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Back Button
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Tax Program

I have been using Turbo Tax since 2006 and will continue to use it far into the future. It is a quick and easy way to do your taxes. The program is very thorough and gets you all the deductions possible. I have and will continue to recommend this program to everyone.

I have been using Turbotax for a number of years now and wouldn't do my taxes any other way. I always feel confident that my taxes are done accurately. The step by step instructions make it very easy to use.

Fast & Easy

This was so easy I was able to begin prepping for tax season in November when I received the current tax year software. When the W2s arrived I was ready to file.

Unexpectedly difficult

I used turbotax every year and have never had a problem. This year, however, I received a state refund which counts as taxable income. I entered it correctly on my federal return via the 1099-G it was reported on. When I tried to file my returns, I kept getting an error that my state income did not match or exceed my federal adjusted gross incomes, with no indication of why that might be. I had to manually review the PDF and figure out the problem myself, and then enter the government income manually in a text box. For me, the entire purpose of buying a tax program like TurboTax is to have it take care of these kinds of things. Next year, I think I'll try a different program.
What's great about it: Remembers information from previous year, easy to follow interface
What's not so great: state wasn't accurate

i had trouble when it came time to print forms. I kept getting erro. the 3rd time it worked.
I wanted to print the forms to look at them before I filed, but could not.
What's great about it: transfer last years data
What's not so great: hard to print at the end

Good Software, my choice every year

I use Turbo tax for my tax return every year, its quick and easy to use. I am happy with that. Only thing is ...I always thought buying the software should have 1 copy state filing free of charge, but NOT really, you still need to have to pay for it.
What's great about it: Easy to follow step by step
What's not so great: State filing is not truly free
