I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SATIFIED.
What's great about it: EASE OF DOWNLOAD AND THE TRANSFER OF INFORMATION FROM PREVIOUS YEARS TAX RECORDS.
What's not so great: UPGRADE FOR FREE STATE FILING WAS A PAIN

2014 was a year of having 2 children over age 21 and 1 in college. Turbo Tax allowed me to go through the questions to maximize my deductions.

I purchased turbo tax deluxe w/ 1 free state filing...they charged a filing fee for the state

Organized, simple & easy

I have used Turbo Tax for years. Really can't imagine doing it any other way.
What's great about it: Clean graphics, easy to read and understand
What's not so great: Really no criticisms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used Turbo Tax for years and will continue to use it as it just gets more user friendly each year. I have tried 2 other tax programs in the past and was not happy with either of them.
What's great about it: walks me through all questions

Errors in preparing substitute forms 1099R

There are errors in using step by step input for form 4852 with input data from overseas pensions.
Federal id for pension provider is asked for but obviously not available. This is second year this error has been repeated. One way round is to enter false No. e.g. 99-9999999.
Line 9 of form 4852 comes up as 'see line 9' in print preview version before efiling even though the reason input in step by step is correctly displayed in forms option. There is no way to correct the error at the print preview stage - I wonder what the IRS will make of what they see!

Always Satisfied

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and I have always been satisfied with the product. Even when i made a mistake I was able to contact them and they walked me through to find the error that I made and helped me correct it. Will continue to use Turbo Tax in the future.
