Quick and Easy

I've been filing with Turbo Tax since it was first introduced. Quick and Easy! Prompts for everything and easy explanations if you don't understand. I've been filing both our tax returns for years as individual. It would have been nice to be able to import both individual returns when newly married and filing jointly.
What's great about it: Import from Last Year, Walk through everything
What's not so great: No Import for newly Married

I've used Turbotax for many years now and always find it to be simple to use and comprehensive enough for all my tax needs. The price is reasonable and I like being able to efile from my home. I will be using your product for many years to come.
What's great about it: simplicity

Although the interface is clean like you're used to with TurboTax (even thinner this year). My marriage status changed this year and TT lead me right through it without a hitch. "State" has a major issue updating and downloading, which hangs up the process (took me about an hour to get it fixed). It's a little frustrating since the software gets confused during the process, it tries to charge you for the free copy of State that comes with TT. By the time I called CSS for help, the software hick-upped (after several restarts to see if it would) and all of a sudden State was there, but TT thought I had completed it already. TurboTax says (on multiple occasions) it needs to save your file and restart but will pick up where you left off - only it shuts down after the save and never restarts (you have to do that yourself after you figure out it's not going to). This happened in three separate places throughout the process. Glad they lowered the price this year, because it has definitely lost a little of its pizazz. Still... I wouldn't do my taxes with any other software. All-in-all TurboTax is still the best.
What's great about it: Faster interface keeps you from walking through the stuff that actually doesn't apply to you.
What's not so great: Downloading/initiating State returns (Deluxe) has a major hickup! Had to call support to waddle through it!

TT Deluxe

User must investigate all Turbo Tax products to insure they have exactly what they need for their particular filing. That being said, this is still the most complete, easy to use product available giving the best ROI.
I have used this product for many years in conjunction with Quicken and am still impressed. I could pay more to a tax preparer. I made that mistake once and was audited. Never again.
