I am retired and disabled and on fixed income. It is difficult to figure out filing taxes but Turbo Tax is an easy to follow user friendly GodSend. It makes is a lot easier to manage each year. Just with I didn't have to keep coming up with more taxes to pay at the end!

Best Waya to Do Taxes

I have used Turbotax for several years. Improvements made along the way made this year the easiest of them all. The application is user friendly and a through guide to filing tax returns.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Accurate calculations. Help at every step.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.

Trusty TurboTax

Generally have had great experiences with Turbo Tax for the past five or six years. My only comment/concern/hope for improvement next year is that it didn't automatically transfer the health insurance info from Fed to state return, which we did assumed would happen (shame on us, though, for assuming....) And, while completing federal and before beginning state tax, the state refund tally at the top appeared to assume taxpayer had health insurance for a while, then suddenly (in our case, after entering a few thousand of personal income which barely made a dent in federal taxes) projected state refund jetted to a tax owed of a thousand more....with no explanation of why. Had we not carefully reviewed the state forms we may not have caught this, and would have thought we owed state taxes. It would seem that the information could transfer pretty easily, no?

The program was overall less friendly than the prior years There is nothing that sets turbo tax away from other tax prep software
