Very thorough

Best thing going for personal taxes

All in all still the best way to do simple to moderately complex personal taxes without having to pay for an accountant. The only draw back is a certain amount of "trust me" when it announces that after putting in a bunch of details (education expenses for example) that your deduction is -0- ... the answer was correct but you have to go to forms and read the limitations to understand why. A mid-level explanation is also given but in the case of education expenses I didn't find that very helpful. None the less I highly recommend this product for anyone who's comfortable doing their own taxes. It makes an onerous task much easier and greatly reduces the chance to make mistakes.
What's great about it: Easy to use in any mode
What's not so great: details on why certain deductions are not available are burried in the forms

Online 'Help' Rocks

This year, for the first time, I was stumped & resorted to the online help which worked out nicely–not at first; but, with just a bit of persistence. It was refreshing.
Next year, I plan to guide my wife in the use of TurboTax so she can take over filing her taxes in my eventual absence.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Difficult to include an explanation; I used the 'Blank Form'.

I have been using TurboTax for the last 20 years. I wouldn't use anything else. I always get a maximum refund. I think it is the best tax software out there.

Easy, thorough

Even a novice, non-accountant type (that's me) can file taxes properly! Feel comfortable, rest easier when I use TurboTax. Have been using it for years now and will continue to use it.
What's great about it: File taxes quickly, no hassle, year after year!
