Love Turbotax except for one thing...

I have used TurboTax for at least 10 years. My taxes are done easily and correctly. The only problem is that whenever I get a new computer, the saved docs will not work - and I am unable to access my previous files online at TurboTax. I have to enter info by hand and look up old printed forms. I have my user name and password but my old returns are never there.
What's great about it: I always use Turbotax. Its easy and done right

This is probably the last time I use Turbo Tax because I no longer have access to a computer running Microsoft Windows. I have enjoyed using it in the past but now can file a more abbreviated form. I have found too many security problems associated with the Windows OS so no longer have it on my system.
What's great about it: Greatfully used for many years.
What's not so great: Does not run on linux OS
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2014 IRS PIN explanation

There was inadequate explanation on the Ttax page where IRS 5-digit PINs were requested. Worse, Ttax pre-entered numbers that were not to be used in the boxes where I was supposed to enter the numbers. These boxes should have been left blank by Ttax and instructions on this page provided to call IRS for the PINs to be entered. I located the proper instructions with Help but wasted time trying to follow the so-called step-by-step instructions.
For this I took away one rating star from my usual 5-star rating.
What's great about it: Help files were useful to get through this confusion
What's not so great: Ttax page where PINs were entered was totally baffling

Good Choice

Needed to file a back return fast. Took me through all that I needed to get there. Only took a few hours total.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow directions.
What's not so great: Not many that I saw.

Peace of mind is spelled TurboTax

Stressed about doing my taxes, But it became so easy to do it step by step. Very user friendly program to navigate. Felt very confident it is correct. Will continue to use in the future and recommend to everyone.
What's great about it: Through and EZ
What's not so great: Getting questions answered on help board was not helpful.

I hate tax season

Turbo Tax should automatically transfer info from one year to another. They should try to follow the same format also. They might also show variances you may be making or tax code changes as my income and expenses were almost the same from year to another, while I went from a $700+ return to a $600+ payment. I may need a professional tax person to prepare my return. I've used Turbo Tax for three years, this year was the pits.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is generally a no brainier.
What's not so great: Turbo Tax didn't have my prior years info available for this year, making it very difficult.
