Teacher Nailed it

Easy to use and I finish with confidence, especially after using Turbo tax over the past 10 years.
What's great about it: After using Turbo tax in the past, I am fortunate to be able to have most things imported directly.
What's not so great: So easy to work with, that I over think if I have filed correctly.

I've used TurboTax for the past 3 years and can't see using anyone or anything else! It is so simple and elegant to use and it runs you through every possible scenario to make sure you're getting all of the deductions you possibly can. It can be done anywhere you have a laptop and access to your financial forms, and I feel confident that I am getting the largest refund I can.
What's great about it: TurboTax walks you through every possible deduction and scenario, and offers easy to understand explanations .
What's not so great: None

Good Product as Always

The section of the review that asks for the kind of health insurance you have (to prove you have complied with the law) should include a category: Health Insurance from retirement plan program. As I am a retired federal employee and receive a pension from Civil Service, and obtain health insurance via that access to the federal plans; however I am not a current employee. So checking from your employer does not seem appropriate so I checked via government programs as it is a federal retirement and also Medicare is being received by my wife.
What's great about it: Excellent product and walks you through
What's not so great: Health Insurance proof inclear

Refund plus Payment Issue
on January 28, 2015

The only thing I found that could be more helpful is additional info for those having to make a payment (state) while also getting a refund (fed.). I was not sure if I needed to transmit my returns via Turbotax first then make the state payment online or vice versa. Or did it even matter?

Worked Great as always

I have used Turbo tax for several years and have no desire to choose any other software. I did recently receive a letter tax bill from the State of Ky saying I owed them approx. $300 from my 2012 return. It seems that when turbo tax questions about health insurance premiums paid, they should have specified after tax . I thought that I may have read the question wrong, however on this years version it does not specify this either. Would be better to specify this as most of the population has health insurance through their employer and I just took the premiums that had been paid by me through payroll deductions and never questioned whether they were deducted pre tax or after tax. Will probably get another bill for 2013 returns as I entered this info. last year as well. At least I did not enter any for this year.
What's great about it: Step by step
What's not so great: Failure to load previous yrs return, Health insurance premiums

Problems with how to get your refund
on January 28, 2015
Posted by: Becky3632
Under questions/answers on how to get my refund it refers to an option to select a prepaid VISA. Yet when I selected efile option, the only selections were direct deposit or paper check. No selection option for prepaid VISA or how to apply for one. This needs clarification or correction.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Too many questions
