Makes a difficult tax return much easier

What's great about it: Down to earth language and questions
What's not so great: Sometimes difficult to go back and change or update info
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy of use - TurboTax Deluxe 2014

I mistakenly bought a federal return download software thinking I was getting the state return as well but when I was finished with my federal returns, TurboTax allowed me to purchase the state return software and easily merged it with my previous software. This was a saving piece of architecture.
What's great about it: Easy to use, has many updates,
What's not so great: Stand alone Federal Reurns software are sold saparely can easily confuse or mislead consumer

BIG (POOR) CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR

WHEN FINALLY COMPLETING THE FORM, FILING WAS DIFFICULT AND I ENDED UP FILING A SECOND TIME WITH NO RECOGNITION THAT I HAD FILED BEFORE 4/15. IF THERE IS A PENALTY, I WILL EXPECT TURBOTAX TO COVER IT..

I could not file my state electronically, the web page could not be accessed, no phone numbers were listed to call

Good But Not As Good As It Was

I had been a victim of identity theft and, consequently, for my security and protection the IRS makes it difficult for me to file my return electronically. With the IRS providing me with my IP PIN, TurboTax does not ask for it automatically before or after I sign off my e-signature. So I filed and my returns fed and state were of course rejected. I had to search the internet to find the answer as to where I could find where to put in my IP PIN in TurboTax. It is there but you have to drill down or dig in the other options to find it. It is inconvenient. TurboTax should fix this as there are many of us victims of identity theft out there.
What's great about it: Accurate
What's not so great: Not user friendly for complicated situations

Did not recognize 2013 filing. Have confirming emails demonstrating I clearly used TT.. Omission made 2014 filing difficult as one cannot "redo"2013 to create, i.e. won' permit filling forms from hard cc I kept.
Then, print out of 2014 did not include MO Est. Tax forms 1<4 So I'm late w/ 1st payment. I have made requests of TT in other surveys for forms, but no response.

Have always been a fan but......+

Have heard of other people's tax returns unable to file do to duplicate SSN. I am in the process of investigating but if the problem points to Turbo Tax- will NOT be using again and will be talking to others telling them of my experience. If I find out that it was NOT a Turbo Tax issue then will continue to use. Further investigating is pending. Maybe a 5 star rating is coming but not yet.
What's great about it: Easy to complete, good tips.
What's not so great: when I went to e-file- said there was another return already submitted with my SSN.
