Would not let me take proper deductions

The program would not let me fill out anything for the Earned Income Credit unless I used the overide for the lines to manually imput it and then it refused to let me e-file. As I pulled up the section to fill it out using the programs guidance it told me i was quailifed, but refused to let me fill anything out and was not even given the option to.
over all expirence was good until the program was under the belief that it was far more intelligent than I, and still could not follow basic tax law instructions.
I've used turbo tax for 15 years, and this will be my last year that I will use this program.
What's great about it: good user interface
What's not so great: poor deduction management

Not over taxing...

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, TURBOTAX and have used it for several years in a row. I attempted to use H&R Block software this year because my friend bought it. I'm not overly sophisticated with computers, so trying to load the H&R Block software was frustrating at a time I wanted no additional frustrations. TURBOTAX is so easy to use. The only downside is not specific to TURBOTAX but to all software programs: what don't I know that I could be deducting that a tax person might help me with. I take that risk, I guess. I can't recommend any other software program because I'm hooked on TURBOTAX! Also, refund or not, I'm a last minute filer...you can't file at home last minute when you're out trying to find an open post office! THANKS SO MUCH!

Slow process

The process was long, drawn out, and difficult to follow. I am disappointed. I started this process very early but ended up submitting it at 12:20 a.m. because of a technical error.
What's not so great: Nearly impossible to find the where to uncheck Audit Protection!

Only the thinigs I did not like

1. The program did not prompt or instruct me how to save my work to restart it later -- continue entering information, to or to change something I had entered, or add something I was not sure of during the entry process.
2. There was not option or instruction to re-enter the program and choose to file electronically, after I said I do not want to file electronically on the first prompt (because I have some items I need to edit before filing).
3. When I answered "No" to the question about child care expenses, the program responded "Great, you will save because of your child care expenses." It incorrectly prepared form 2441 with an odd amount of $9.
4. Did not give me the option to apply any of my tax refund forward to tax year 2015.

Slow, did I mention SLOW?

I never felt so frustrated in using Turbo Tax as I did this year. When clicking Next, etc. it was so slow that the cursor didn't change or show "Calculating" etc I would think my mouse wasn't working and hit it again and go extra pages.
It tried to get me to perform a state return for my state Florida, where we don't have personal income taxes for Florida and it kept asking me over and over. Exasperating !! I hope you fix this program before next year.
What's great about it: Thorough to a point
What's not so great: Slow, Couldn't tell when I hit the Submit or Continue button
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
