Refunds are Great

Each year you make the process easier. I have used this when you had to remember what you donated and I do a lot of the same ones every year and it is Wonderful having them list......
What's great about it: everything each year it better
What's not so great: I wish I could fool the program

Easy To Use and Great Support

This year I screwed up my Turbo Tax account. I have 3 of them. One for my wife and I and 1 for each of our 2 kids. I was very unorganized this year. Unfortunately I used my account to file my son's taxes with the free Turbo Tax version (for the 1040EZ form). Well when it was time for me to file my taxes I found out I had used wrong account because my prevous tax history didn't transfer into this years taxes lie in previous years. I had to speak to support to fix my major screw up. Well even though I was very late this year filing, the waiting time was very short. In fact I didn't have to wait at all for a live support person. They actually called me back within 5 minutes. The tech that called me back was Devon. He couldn't have been couldn't of been nicer. He put me at ease and told me that he would do what ever it took to help me out. AND HE DID!!! I have always been a Turbo Tax fan but now along with with the service that Devon provided to me have made me a super fan!! I have told everyone that they should be using Turbo Tax! Thanks again Devon and the Turbo Tax team.

What's great about it: I screwed up my account but Turbo Tax Support fixed it right away for me. Support was ver friendly and nice
What's not so great: Nothing I have used Turbo Tax for years and they make a daunting task for me easy!!

GREAT PRODUCT !

I've used TurboTax since 2000 or earlier and I've never been disappointed. I really like that there is a link to It's Deductible and that I can import my charitable deductions. Turbo Tax walks me through the entire process with more detailed help information for specific areas if I need it. I'm comfortable doing my taxes and, best of all, it doesn't take FOREVER !!! Oh, and doing my taxes in my PJs on April 15th (I know, I'm one of THOSE PEOPLE) and pushing a button to file instead of running out looking for an open post office is icing on the cake !!!
What's great about it: Easy, thorough, flexible
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Clunky but Competent

TurboTax is thorough in its questioning, and its supplementary information is helpful. Some of the information seeking seems redundant. It wanted to update 10 minutes after I had last updated, which, again, seemed redundant.
My biggest complaint is that my free state tax form wouldn't download.
What's great about it: Thorough
What's not so great: State form wouldn't download

I usually like the turbo tax system, this yr there were changes that weren't explained, when I tried to find explanations, the sites were down. Trying to file an extention and couldn't find it. and it wasn't a pop up. very frustrated with it this yr. My returned for federal, was quite a bit less, but could find no reason why. It was still better than the some of the other systems I tried when I was frustrated with this one though. Which I'm not sure is saying much
What's great about it: gave a better amount due than other site, is simplier to use for the most part, but not as good as previous yrs
What's not so great: less clear than prev yrs. couldnt get it to give extention, very frustrated with changes that were there and not explain

Will not buy directly from intuit again. Will buy retail. I can get it at less cost and with better packaging and specials. Trying to complete NC state tax was very difficult because you hid how to enter get the Bailey Settlement amount.
What's not so great: Had problems completing NC return, Bailiey not clear!

Great product. I actually like doing my own taxes with TurboTax.
What's great about it: Ease of use, very intuitive. Used it for years and will continue doing so
