Surprisingly simple

I loved the fact that a great deal of the information I needed was automatically downloaded to my forms with just a few quick questions. I also like the choice of options on certain pages and how it was explained the pros & cons of filing different ways. Additionally, online customer service was refreshingly knowledgeable!
What's great about it: Clear concise instructions

What's great about it: always easy to use
What's not so great: paying extra for the states
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

it costs almost as much to use turbo tax as it would to pay a professional. was unable to file state before federal, so i had to wait on my state refund until after i paid my federal.

slow tax

the cd version doesn't autofill previous years cd version more complicated to understand had to pay more tax info and help were inadequate

Deeply disappointed this year!

I've used Turbo Tax for 10 years now and this year was the first time I was disappointed with the program. I couldn't access the updates and couldn't proceed with with filing because of this. Shame on me for waiting til the last minute to file, but I never expected any problems from what has been an extremely pleasant program to use. I'll have to decide if next year is the time to try another company's product
What's great about it: usually an easy program to use
What's not so great: couldn't upload updates. Required help from Geek squad to do. Then had to re-enter all data info.

Your message to me said due to a software glitch, my return wasn't accepted. You said the software would be fixed for next year. Do I get my e-file fee returned to me since I had to mail my return?
Otherwise, it was quick and easy to use Turbo Tax.

I have used Turbo Tax for 13 years and this year was the easiest to use. Once in a while I have a hard time deciding what info it wants but I had a tax person do my taxes two years ago and I got the same about back I always get back. I must be doing it right.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Takes a while
