As Always, a Most Excellent Filing Experience

I've used TurboTax for years but this year I purchased H&R Block's software to assist my blind friend with her taxes -- mainly because the entire software package was cheaper than adding another state to Turbo. H&R's tax software was a bit clumsy so I ended up using Turbo for her taxes as well -- allowed another friend's daughter (with a simple tax situation) to use the H&R product. TurboTax is much better if you have major deductions and medical expenses.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate
What's not so great: Still takes some work but not as much as H&R Block's software

Turbo Tax 2014

Just completed and e-filed my 2014 Federal and state tax returns using Turbo Tax. The program continues to be easy to use, covers all the parts of the tax code that apply to my situation and makes filing a breeze. I've used the program since it was first introduced. It packs a lot of information in a simple to use format. One thing I am displeased with this year is the time it took to install. There were several gaps of 5-8 minutes without any on screen explanation. Also, on the initial start, there was a very long delay, of more than 5 minutes, with no indication the program was even running. Such program behavior is not what I expect from a mature program like Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: continues to be simple to use
What's not so great: extremely long load times, install, initially start, and between modules
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

We submitted some information during step by step that populated our return and when we needed to go back and change that data (cost basis on a charitable goods contribution) we were unable to do so. We should be able to click on a line on a form and be taken to the step or steps that populated the line.
