Last time for Turbo tax

Wonderful that you can ask questions in a forum environment. Taxes are stressful.... nice to know others have questions too. I don't want to be an expert on taxes.... I want to rely on an expert... Turbo Tax is that expert.
What's great about it: Love the patience of the software.... it keeps asking you questions until you get it right!

I did not discover that forms were missing until tax preparation was complete. After downloading forms, it initially seemed that all previous work was lost, because Turbotax started from the very beginning with absolutely no data in the system. Thankfully, it was saved on my hard drive. I initially indicated that a 1099 would be used for education expenses and later changed to 1098T, your check the return procedures kept asking for information for the 1099. Finally, I indicated that audit representation would not be required. There were at least two instances that I had to make the same election.
What's great about it: Very good at collecting information and asking questions to generate thoughts that led to additional deductions.
What's not so great: Purchased CD about 4 months before 4/15 which did not contain necessary forms

It would be extremely helpful and reassuring if TurboTax compared/contrasted entries, line by line, from the prior year's data. it would result in more thoughtful (and accurate?) reporting. Thanks!
What's great about it: TurboTax takes great pains to walk you through each step of the process. Thanks!
What's not so great: I have a comment (see Review below) rather than a negative criticism.

Turbo tax has assisted with my tax return for at least 20 years. It has been great.
What's great about it: easy and walked me right thru all the questions.
What's not so great: so many pieces of wasted paper! Since I am getting a refund I do not need payemnt slips.

Excellent tax program - again and again!

while trying to e-file, I encounter an error, and then I must call and give information including a serial number to have you either fix the problem or file for me.
What's great about it: Overall ease of use
What's not so great: 2 years in a row the program stops me while trying to e file
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

one W2, int&div income, homeowner, no dependents... completed process Fed and State w/in hour and a half! Time saver.
