Awesome customer service

easy to use but needed assistance to remove a form I did not want to file (city). Had to call help line, for it being the last day to file taxes I was surprised by a phone call within 30 mins. Thanks to Samuel It was a simple fix......very friendly and knowledgeable had my taxes e-filed in no time. Thank you Samuel and turbo tax.
What's not so great: would not let me delete city tax

Great product, except....

I have used Turbotax for more than 15 years and found it very easy to use, but I am disappointed in this year's product. The program wanted to show me worksheets instead of the forms they fed, which made me feel like I was missing something. But the thing that bothered me most was the print function. The lack of an ability to print individual worksheets or forms was extremely frustrating, since our process has always been that I fill in the information in Turbotax, then print out the forms and worksheets for my spouse to error-check. This year some items could only be checked online because I do not see well enough to go through 100+ pages of a print document on the printer page to pick the four I want printed and the only choices were print a return, print a return and "important" worksheets, or print everything. In the final review, there was sometimes no indication I could understand of exactly which field they wanted, and double clicking the box did not seem to take me to the place in the tax items where it was, so I could not figure out what to put in it. This is not the ease of use I have been accustomed to.
What's great about it: Does all calculations, knows the rules and what you need
What's not so great: The print function is severely lacking, not enough transparency

IRA QUESTIONS

My father in law died. My wife inherited his IRA. It first asked if the money in the IRA was deducted from his pay. It probably was when he did it 25 years ago. Then it asked if any part of it was an RMD. It was supposed to be a rollover. It is the first time in all the years I have been using Turbo Tax that the program appeared to be stumped and I am turning in my taxes not sure if they are 100% correct, which is the way I normally feel when using your product.

Hate the IRS

I have used Turbo Tax for several years, very intuitive and easy to use.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: A little pricey
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Deluxe

I've used Turbo Tax Deluxe for years. Very easy to use, walks you through everything and pretty much has helpful hints and information throughout the site when I have had questions. Downside to downloading the software this year is that it didn't work using the operating system MacOs 10.6.8. I had to either update the OS or use a different computer with a newer OS that supported Turbo Tax. I wish their updates didn't conflict with older OS versions.
What's great about it: Easy and efficient
What's not so great: Downloaded version doesn't work on all operating systems

Tax season Terror

What's not so great: tax dummies like me have to take extra time to figure out what certain tax issues mean
