Gets worse every year

Overall, TurboTax works fine. This year, of course, they burped by initially requiring you to upgrade to "Business" if you have Schedule C income. But in my instance, my schedule C income is a measly $400 in royalty income. To be frank, the Federal Government could care less about the form, the deductions, etc. All they care about is the tax on this amount. And I have no deductions, etc. But just try to enter this into TurboTax. Wow. I had to keep going back and back and back.
The other major issue deals with Tuition Statements, or 1098-T forms. Each university fills these in differently. Alas, my son's university did not put amounts in boxes 1 or 2. Despite the fact that I paid $18K in tuition, I could not get the credit. The problem was that I initially input the amounts from the tuition statement. Finally, I just tried various scenarios until I got the $2000 deduction we were owed.
What's great about it: Handles simple situations well
What's not so great: Cannot handle small Royalties or non-standard 1098-T forms

The software has conflicting logic for donations & whether dates are needed. Attempts to correct were difficult.
It is also difficult to check & review all donations for a specific charity, or to look at all at once. Confusing.
What's not so great: Confusion on the charitable donations

Way back when, the program would "talk" to you in the name that you gave it. Now it automatically uses your first name. Is there a fix to this for those of us who go by our middle name?
Other than that.......about as painless as possible.

Love transfer of previous year info for comparison & no re-entering of personal info. This feature has cut down the amount of time it takes to complete tax return and helps me remember all the items I need to report.
What's great about it: Accurate. Easy. Intuitive.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
