Easy to complete

I have used Turbo Tax but this year was the easiest!
What's great about it: User friendly

I was very disappointed with the refund processing fee that was tacked on at the end, and this was in addition to the purchase cost and filing fees. I will be looking at other options next year.
What's great about it: Detailed and thorough
What's not so great: Costs & fees are getting too high

Terrific TurboTax!

I have used TurboTax as long as it has been around. One year I tried another product to save $5 but I had to enter all of my information again. What a mistake that was. I will stick with TurboTax.
What's great about it: So easy and fast.
What's not so great: Makes me lazy about math.

Great program ....EXCEPT

Every year for the last 7 years you've been told that MTA employees DON'T PAY INCOME TAX ON THEIR PENSION! And yet you have not fixed this $1000000.00 dollar mistake. 1000 retirees times over $1000 for each retiree = OVER $1000000.00. Can you fix this?
What's great about it: Helpful, Does the math!
What's not so great: As a retired MTA employee. It mistakenly indicated I owed OVER $1000 in state tax

Awesome experience...again!

This is getting easier to use every year. TT team has continued their goal of making this software seamless and easier to use.
This year, I was able to start, complete and efile both my state and federal return in about 5 hours!! I had all my docs in a big pile and having transferred info from last year made it easy to fill in the new numbers this year.
I recommend everyone to try this software out as it will help most ordinary folks get over the fear of filing.
What's great about it: Easy and seamless to use w/ latest laws incorporated
What's not so great: Self driven so need to make all the decisions
