Easier than ever

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 10 years or so. The Q&A format, and downloading information from various sources took away the fear of entering something in the wrong way. I remember having to fill out forms in longhand! Turbo Tax is great!
What's great about it: Downloading information from brokerage houses and employers made sure that data was correctly entered.

better than doing it all by hand

Charitiable contribs: the form is set up to summarize, but it then says you must itemize each contrib by date. I ended up just using one date for each summary.
sometimes I seem to have to pay for a state where some income originates even though I have no tax liability.
What's great about it: linkage between fed and states very good.
What's not so great: I no longer know how calcs work and whether there is some areas I should emphasize in planning for next year's activitie

turbotax is the easiest tax preparation software out there and no I do all my taxes myself every year with no issues.
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
