Excellent Information

The 2014 TurboTax had all of the rules and forms in the sytem to prevent errors. Also, checked to see if I could itemize, plus filed my Return Electronically.
What's great about it: TurboTax went through all of the steps to see if I could Itemize

A little confusing entering my foreign tax paid or accrued since I receive a monthly annuity (Pension) from the US Govt.

As usual Piece of cake with TurboTax

-As I indicated in the description of the pros. The feature that I like the most is that all the terms are explained in a language I can understand.
-I do not need to go from one instruction to another on different forms, or do any calculations. All I have to do is answer the questions and enter the information from the tax forms I received.

What's great about it: Terms are explained in a language that I can understand (I do not need to talk "tax" language)
What's not so great: No cons for me. Turbotax has been my tax preparation choice for several years.

Last Minute??? No Problem!!!

This is probably my 6th or 7th year using TurboTax. I tell everyone, "This is probably the best program I use all year for anything!" The simplicity of asking easy questions is so much better than the drudgery of asking you to just fill out form after form. The ability to import info from previous returns and employer W-2's is the best. I wouldn't do my taxes any other way!
What's great about it: Sheer simplicity --- sooo easy to use!

It was even easier to use turbo tax this year then it has been in years past. I wonder if I left something out. But will keep searching and making sure. If I did, I will fix it next year or later this year.

But over all it was a great experience. And I would recommend it to anyone. All you have to do is fill in the blanks, and it just walks you right on through.

Good Tax prep program

The overall program is very good and I have used it for several years. The only problem I have had is using the form 8606 Non deductible IRAs. The instructions and guidelines don't really make it clear that this form is the one to use if you had made after tax contributions to the IRA. Missing this could significantly alter the amount of refund or payment you would get because it reduces your taxable income.
But overall Turbo Tax Deluxe has worked well for my circumstances and I will continue to use it.
What's great about it: Easy to follow guidelines
What's not so great: Need better instruction on form 8606
