Am I getting older or was this year harder???

I like Turbo Tax a lot. My taxes are pretty straight forward so I feel that I do not need a CPA. I feel in control of my taxes when I use Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Always thorough. Like the questions.
What's not so great: Prior years did not transfer over.

The program gets easier every year -

The program seems to get easier every year. This is my 4th year and the set up and the explanations were clear and concise and easy for a non-accountant to follow. I dreaded doing my taxes but you made it easy. Thank you.
What's great about it: explain all area clearly
What's not so great: Having to do my income taxes

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years now and I love how easy it is to do my own taxes. I feel confident I am doing them right with all the explanations provided where it breaks down that the item is about.
I was concerned when I started reading all the negative comments about this years version, but it still did not deter me from purchasing since the issue had to do with tax items that did not pertain to me...but I was disappointed on what they were doing.
One thing I would change is the fact that in order for you to be able to pay for your state e-filing through the program you have to change your Internet Settings and select TLS under the Advanced tab. I was getting really frustrated that after spending a couple hours preparing my taxes I was not able to do the final step of actually paying for the state filing. Fortunately I came across a blog that referenced this error and how to solve the issue.
Other than that, I still love Turbo Tax.

Insanity Saver

I dread doing my taxes every year. Well, I did, until about ten years ago I began using TurboTax. I have used it every year since. What once took 3-4 days of agony and uncertainty, now takes 5-6 hours of step-by-step analysis.
I keep all my documents in a common folder through the year. Tax-related documents are kept in the same place. With TurboTax, I lay out my documents and step through the program.
Built-in evaluation tools insure that all bases are covered and all needed forms filled out. No more rushing down to the Post Office for some strange form -- TT has them all built in.
The sense of relief in doing taxes, and the peace of mind that calculations are correct and that all links between documents are made is definitely worth the price of the program.
What's great about it: Clear organization, easy walk-through, peace of mind, speed of process

H&R block customer no more

i will never go back to H&R block ever again. they charge way too much and i saved a ton using turbotax
