So Easy!

I believe this is about the 8th year I've used Turbo Tax and I love it. I started using it when I felt our CPA was not doing a through job for us. I was right. He did our taxes and I redid them with Turbo Tax and we received about $400 more in refund. Sold!!
What's great about it: Easy ....step by step
What's not so great: No cons

Frustration...

will not be using trabotax next year. Very hard time saving and transmitting the efile. After 8 yrs of using it I will be using accounting next year to save the frustrations.

Always the best!

With the amount being noted on the top, it doesn't mean anything with it noted in red and black. What if you are color blind? Mine was red and I thought that meant I got a credit.
What's great about it: Walking through it is like you are holding my hand doing taxes.
What's not so great: Tax Total should say 'Tax Due' or 'Refund Amount'.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The only part that was confusing was when the electronic filing option was available. Since I was getting a refund on the federal tax return but owed on the state and I could delay the state tax return, there should be a clearer option for picking to file the federal return electronically and printing the state tax return to file by mail.
All of the "protections" added and advertised just before filing are confusing, I'm not sure what protection I bought and what protection I don't have; OR did I buy the same protection twice.
What's great about it: The basic structure was fairly easy to navigate.
What's not so great: When the choice is to e-file or file by mail there should be separate choices for Federal and State tax returns

As easy as last year

The interviews seemed to flow better this year. Stepping out to the self-directed entry was very simple. I observed less clicks this year and was able to breeze through my return.

Hard Time Updating

I needed to do my Windows updates to update TurboTax. It took TOO long to find that answer. The FAQ section of the website isn't monitored by TurboTax very well. I saw the same question being asked but they weren't answered either.
What's great about it: Once it was updated, it wasn't that bad.
What's not so great: The help section was horrible and was hard to find my answer.

Easy Peasy

This is so easy to use if you have your paperwork needed to file.
My PC is only 4 Months old, it still takes up to 5+minutes to load or install updates.I highly recommend this program.
