It makes paying taxes a little less painful

I've been using TurboTax for the past ten (10) years and love the product. The first time I used it, I was hooked. I always dreaded filling out the forms by hand and having to find the tax bracket I was in and hoping all the math was correct. TurboTax makes all of that a thing of the past and allows me to save my work along the way and come back to it where I left off.
What's great about it: The program steps you thru all of the forms.
What's not so great: I still don't like seeing the red number at the top of the screen.

great fed and state; inadequate local

There was a local carry forward of a significant amount that i was eligible to apply against my local tax due. Turbotax did not ask about it. I finally realized I could open the form and manually enter.
What's great about it: transfer of last years info, stats
What's not so great: missing field in local question process...I had to spend a lot of time researching

Easy to use - guides you along

I enjoy using this software program, as it guides you along each step so you don't forget anything. And, the program double checks you, and asks you to be sure.
What's great about it: step by step questions
What's not so great: takes so long to upgrade the updates

Amplified my refund

Turbo has helped me in some difficult times; even as I was going through a lot with the IRS. They gave detailed explanations indicating why I would or would not be able to use a deduction. I love the Risk calculator it shows your red flags. It transfers your information annually making life so smooth. Turbo is the only way to do taxes. I have been using Turbo since 1999.
What's great about it: The questions guided you through the return without difficulty. The program did not stall. Updating went very quickly an
What's not so great: Unable to print the page you are on. It goes to the return

I appreciated the information given for each deduction. I loved how I could save and go back to complete sections. I liked how I could ask questions from the previous users. This is great, can't wait to use it again next year.

Fast, maybe not painless

This years was even easier than prior years to navigate. It seemed to get to forms faster too. I had a more complicated (to me) entry that didn't fit in the form I expected. Typing it in the search brought up the exact question I had and pointed me right to where I could enter that information. Simple.
What's great about it: very easy. quckly get to specific forms / questions, saw prior year entries for comparison
What's not so great: Still had ot pay
