Extreme frustration at the end...

Super easy

I have been using Turbo Tax to complete my taxes for several years now and cannot even imagine going back to the old-school method of paper and pen or lugging all of my documents into someone's office to have them do it. Even though I hate filing taxes, this makes it easy!
What's great about it: easy, fast, confidence in accuracy
What's not so great: wasn't able to import all of my forms

I have been using Turbo Tax for at least 6 plus years and probably longer. I would never use another program. I love Turbo Tax. They think of everything and it's just so easy to use.

the new laws on health care and what i could deduct against what I paid was a little confusing. Besides that it was an easy and quick process.
What's great about it: covered all bases of the tax return
What's not so great: I'm suppose to get one state free and it never does.

Almost as easy as it could be

This would be worth the money and extra filing fee if the Credit Card info was gathered from my forms. My name is the same, my e-mail is the same, my address is the same. Why can't they fill out the info automatically?
Also, this form, why can't you get the info that I have already entered?
Starting is very slow, took starting twice because it just sat there and did nothing but say it was ready to install. No OK or continue or anything. Took about 45 minutes to install, install, start, update, install again (this didn't make any sense#.
My name is Timothy and this form asks for my nick name, Tim is my nick name, how could this be too short? What about Kenneth #Ken#, Thomas #Tom#, Kimberly #Kim). How in the world could a three letter nick name be too short?
What's great about it: Easy, could be easier
What's not so great: Cost plus charge for state electronic filing

More Detailed Calculation for Form 1099-R

Overall, it is a good tax preparation software. However it should show detailed calculation of income derived from Form 1099-R for retirement income, show how the distribution of income plan translated into actual amount the plan generate on a monthly basis.
Also, the software should keep good track of credits saved, deferred, or used through the life span of the credits.
What's great about it: Step by step instruction
What's not so great: no detailed calculation for retirement plan distribution

What's great about it: Filling in all the details using previous years data
What's not so great: Roth vs. regular IRA was not clear to me. Hope I did it right.
