Ugh I Owe for the first time;(

I love the ease in filing via E-File but I was unaware that when I filed my grandson's taxes on my computer via E-file it overlayed my 2013 return so none of my information would populate on my 2014 return, therefore I had to manually input everything!!!!
What's great about it: I like the ease in filing via e-file.
What's not so great: I filed my grandson's taxes on my computer it overlayed my 2013 return. i had to manually enter my info this year!!!!

I used to pay a tax preparer to do what I can easily do by myself with the tools provided by TurboTax. I've learned a great deal, and this software has taken the mystery out of doing your taxes.

I've been using TurboTax for almost twenty years now and it keeps on getting easier and better. The sections and fields are easy to follow and easy to fill.Best of all it gives you the confidence that your taxes have been done right. I have always felt confident with TurboTax and will continue to do my taxes this way. It works so well now my grown up children are using it to do their taxes.
What's great about it: Guided all the way through.
What's not so great: Doesn't have pop ups to notify you that you are on track.

Frustrated

I may not use this again 4 hours trying to get internet explorer to run on xp computer. I do not have time to fight with turbotax so I may find another way to to taxes. Software is good but if I have to use internet explorer next year I will purchase another service.
What's great about it: Been using for many years
What's not so great: have to file internet explorer

I have been purchasing turbo tax for about a decade now, with one exception, when I used a prep service. Worst year ever.
I can't imagine tax season without turbo tax.
The maturity of the "its deductible" feature really takes the pain out of all those non-cash donations we make as the kids are outgrowing clothes at the blink of an eye.
What's great about it: I like being in control
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

As usual simple and easy to use because Turbotax does all the work for you, Asks all the necessary questions and calculates all the numbers for you
