What's not so great: except when trying to return to an earlier point
Pros: I moved

I couldn't believe how bad this turbo tax software package was to use. I have use your software for over 10 years. You should fire the team that beta site it, as they didn't find too many of the problems.
What's great about it: None
What's not so great: Printing was not collated. Download was very difficult. After that it was almost impossible to use

HSA & Energy form 5695 inquisition & Suggestion

HSA Because I had an HSA account, TT assumed I had a High Deductible Medical Plan (HDMP). Also assumed I over funded it. Where I worked we had a HSA & a HDMP. 2012& 2013 were the years. Company contributed and I contributed total was less than the max contribution dollar amount. In 2014 we were acquired by another company that didn't have a HSA & a HDMP. We had a regular plan and a Medical Flexible spending account. TT didnt even ask about that. So I used all of my medical expenses against the HSA account. But TT was going to penalize be 10% for early distributions. It was stress full filling out that portion of TT.
it would have been nice to see... Q1. Do you have a HSA account? Y Q2. In 2014 Did you have a HDMP? N Q3. Based on the distribution dollar amount from Box 1 on your 1099-SA, were they all related to Medical Expenses? Y ---- I would be done
How about this... Ask what Medical insurance and accounts did you have in tax year 2014. Check what applies... HSA HDMP FSA (Medical) Regular plan
in the HSA ask... Q1 were there contributions made by the employer? enter $ Q2 did you make contributions? enter $ TT determines of the total dollar amount for the account is 'over funded' or not
etc etc for each area....
Energy form 5695 I was forced to go back a number of years to fill in what I had paid for energy reduction and again for the already credited amounts. Also, why do I have to figure out the carry over and if it applies or not. The parameters were already set and the information was already applied. I hope next year I will not have to do any of that again. That took extra time.
Question. Just like getting your W2's imported, it would be great to do that with loans (1098's). Mortgages, etc. Is that possible?
thank you other than that it went by really fast compared to previous years.
What's great about it: Fast and easy except 2 main areas. otherwise I would have given it a 5star
What's not so great: HSA & Energy form 5695 inquisition
