2014 Taxes!

What's great about it: Easy to follow, help boxes for questions. running total

I have not used Turbo Tax in many, many (10) or more years. I have been using a CPA and the other professional tax services. I find that they use a software package and just fill in the blanks like Turbo tax. Unless you have a specific situation, I believe the outcome is the same as using Turbo Tax. Although the cost is better. The software works the same for the most part as I remember. Answer the question and move to the next. So using this version was not difficult at all.
What I found most frustrating was getting back to a specific question to make corrections or updates. Specially finding the spot to review the form itself. Once I found that; I was able to modify the form. But still could be earlier.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax has always been answer and click to next software
What's not so great: Hard to get back to a specific spot to modify.

Typical half-baked buggy Intuit product

For 2013 Intuit continues their infamous tradition of milking long-time users who just use them out of habit and laziness without feeling any obligation to putting any of that money into improving their software. Awful interface. Bugs, like you can't delete lines on supporting schedules so you have to cut and paste over and over if you don't want blank lines.
What's great about it: Automatically imports last year's return
What's not so great: Bugs, confusing interface
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. . . I have tested other tax software and Turbo is the BEST. I have conviced all my family members to use it.

Not as good as it used to be...

I have been using TurboTax for a very long time. It seems they are going the way of Facebook where they update things just for the sake of updating something. If it is not broke, don't fix it. With all the confusion over what version to buy this year do to the non-inclusion of things like a Schedule C, and it not automatically looking for and prompting to import last year's TurboTax return data, I can't make rave reviews to my friends any longer. It still works, but it has declined over the years.
What's great about it: Still a very thorough product
What's not so great: Not as easy to navigate as before. Have to search for importing last year's TurboTax data when it used to prompt me.

problem with file my mail

Turbo tax will not print "file by mail" instructions for the federal return. I have done three returns, all three print the instructions for "file by mail" for the State but not the Federal. So I have to look up the address on a Government website. Why is this?

What a Nightmare

Don't know what happened this year. Last year was the first time I used Turbo Tax and had a wonderful experience. This year was a disaster. Needed simple questions answered and no one could help me.
