Love Turbo Tax

I've been a Turbo Tax customer since the beginning and wouldn't dream of doing my taxes any other way.
The program covers all aspects of my return.
What's great about it: Easy to Navigate
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

POOR FORMAT REVIEW

Entirely TOO LONG to access and begin using the program!
Filing tax returns is not an enjoyable process; why make it more laborious by including frivolous screens like those with pictures of folks telling us what we're going to do next or how you are going to help us. I'm expecting that or I would not have bought the program. JUST DIRECT ME TO THE PAGES TO COMPLETE AND CUT OUT THE "FEEL GOOD" PAGES.
Be consistent with how I am to progress from one screen to the next. On some screens it is "continue", on some I have to choose "yes" or "no", on some I have to "skip...", on some I have to answer a question (which is not always plainly visable). Come on guys, make this easy...BE CONSISTENT !!!!!!!!!!! ..........
After first few pages of keying "continue", I must provide W2 info: " Skip Import or Import" ; why not "import" or "enter info manually" or "...import, YES or NO.." which is what you use in most other situations?
After the 1st 1099-R, the question is ",,,,anymore 1099's..." Somewhat hidden in the questions is ...for person :A: or person "B" . Your program use to complete all the entries for one person THEN address the same or similar entries for the second person.
After choosing to manually file my return, I choose the print function which takes me to a drop down window with the options to either "Save, Review, or Cancel" but not to print !ALL I WANT TO DO IS PRINT! WHY NOT ALLOW ME To PRINT FROM THAT SCREEN; YOU ALREADY HAVE THE FORMS.
I understand the tax return process in itself is complex but you folks seem to work harder each year to make your program more difficult to navigate! Go pull out one of your programs of 5 years or more ago and set someone down with that program and this year's or last year's and ask for a comparison of easiness to use. I've been using your software for years but it continues to get more difficult year after year; it might not be Turbo-Tax next year.
What's great about it: COVERED ALL THE NECESSARY INFO (I'm trusting you did)
What's not so great: UN-NECESSARY PAGES TO PLOW THROUGH; NON-CONSISTENTCY IN END OF PAGE CHOICES

Each year, even though I hate doing the returns and put it off to the last day, I always end up asking myself why I waited. Turbo Tax takes the annual fear of doing the returns away.
What's great about it: Easy to read each screen
What's not so great: confused at entering spouse's retirement data, wording not clear to me

Needs some help
on April 14, 2015

I've used TurboTax for many years now and have usually been able to navigate it quite well without having to search for answers. This year was different however, and not because my taxes became nor complicated. There needs to be a way to increase the size of the fonts. Had to do a Google search for help on that one and found it from outsiders, not Turbo Tax. There should be something clearly shown on the screen on how to change font size if needed. If there is something there, I never found it.
The SEARCH TOPICs should be more evident. In the past I remember being able to easily move back and forth between worksheets and the main program. This year-- forget about it. On Smart check I kept getting an error that need to be fixed, but there was no explanation what i had to enter to fix it. It was for non cash itemized charity deductions. I was supposed to enter the "cost/adjustment basis" I have no idea what that means and search high and low to find something to explain it. Never did find anything. I finally just put in"1" and it let me go on. Hope I don't get audited.
What's great about it: Can do it myself
What's not so great: More confusing this year than in past years

There was an issue with paying the State filing fee and had to contact CS to resolve. The program would not connect to the Internet to complete the transaction, felt like this may have been in the design of the program.
What's great about it: Solved the Problem with the program
What's not so great: There was a Problem with the program
