No Gain No Pain

I have used Turbo Tax for a numbers of years and find that all the updates are in place and the walk you thrus are absolutely great.
What's great about it: It is so easy to use. Questions are very easy to understand.
What's not so great: None

Software breakdown at payment point

TurboTax is easy to use, but I could not pay for e-filing with credit card because screen would not let me enter email address anywhere, but kept informing me that it was required to continue. In order to file, I had to pay the $35 processing fee to TurboTax. This is ridiculous. If we hadn't had to wait until last minute to file taxes, I would have sought alternative software program for filing taxes, and I will definitely look into alternatives next year (and I have been a TurboTax user for over 15 years).

Why do u charge for e filing state returns??
Why is it so difficult to to get a pin from the feds to e file?
The communication methodology is extremely poor, to the point of failure!!

What's great about it: actual process of entering tax data is good
What's not so great: failure!! at importing W2s failure to e file! Too costly for state returns

UNEXPECTED ERROR

I USUALLY USE TURBO TAX AND HAVE NO PROBLEMS. ONCE IN A WHILE, I NEED MORE CLARIFICATION, AND LOOK IT UP ONLINE. THIS TIME, THE UPDATES DIDN'T WORK, HOWEVER I WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE THE FEDERAL RETURN. I COULDN'T UPDATE STATE (OHIO) EVEN AFTER I DOWNLOADED UPDATES AND FIX-ITS FOR THE PROBLEM: Error 42016: Unexpected content received " SO, NOW I HAVE TO GET A FORM AND FILL IT OUT USING MY BRAINS, INSTEAD OF YOUR GUARANTEE OF NO ERRORS. I, ALSO, HAD TO ENTER FEDERAL INFO TWICE BECAUSE THE FIX DELETED ALL OF MY INFO THE FIRST TIME.
What's great about it: GREAT IN-DEPTH QUESTIONS, COVER SITUATIONS
What's not so great: Error 42016: Unexpected content received, COULDN'T DO STATE

Never had a problem.
Never had a problem.
What's great about it: Fast, easy, easy to read screen, easy to fill out information
What's not so great: Health question does not make sense if I show deductions for Medicare
