No Stress Taxes

Even after my computer crashed, having to do my taxes for a second time was a breeze using Turbo Tax. Shout out to the Customer Service Rep LANCE for answering some questions for me regarding retrieving my federal filing (even though there was no way). Will definitely be using Turbo tax again next year.

not fair to the small business owner to have to leave Deluxe version. if it's not there next year i will not use turbo again.
What's great about it: was nice to have it in deluxe

Overall, TurboTax has always been reliable but trying to elimintate the extention of taxes after I changed my mind has not been good. I have not resolved issue yet.

Regarding the con: I tried to determine where data about an IRA RMD contribution to charity would be entered before I started preparing the return. I found no descriptive help information about this question and that others had posted similar requests. The answer was discovered when I completed the 1099R data input; at the bottom of the input data for the 1099R. Another RMD issue was a lack of what to enter about the taxable income for a retirement program that after 20 years had exhausted the amount I had contributed prior to retirement. The answer was all the retirement income was now funded entirely by my employer's retirement account and was therefore fully taxable income for me. Fortunately back year tax records allowed me to reconstruct the formula and and determine the answer. If the processes had been truly transparent, a simple statement explaining the situation could have been available as a TurboTax FAQ.
What's great about it: Transfer of information from prior year returns, easy step because it helps avoid oversights
What's not so great: Lack of easy step process transparency. I like to know what is being done with the data
