Good except one negative

TurboTax transferred my PAID property taxes from Federal to State. But state doesn't want paid, they want LEVIED which was different amount. Caused me headaches and had to amend. Not Happy. Had they not put in the amount in the space, I would have looked up the correct amount. But since they transferred the amount I thought I was good and that is what I needed.
What's great about it: Complete
What's not so great: When entering paid taxes in Federal it transfers the amount to state but you actually need levied, not paid for state.

I have used turbo tax for over 10 years but started to use a tax service when we had complicated taxes including business and shares/stocks. The software has definitely improved and I will continue to use this software.

What's not so great: HARD TO FIND TAX ANSWERS THAT IS SPECIFC TO YOU

Calculation Error, lost hundreds

According to the IRS, TurboTax had a bad caclulation and I was shorted $180. Guarantee says after 4/15 I can request a refund. After doing my taxes all I want to do is more forms!
What's great about it: Easy to import
What's not so great: Calculation error and IRS rejected it

TurboTax user since 2008 or earlier.
Medical expense deduction for nursing home residence not obvious 2 years in a row. Numerous personal reviews of the process and the deductions made a huge difference - from paying thousands to being refunded thousands.
I'll be filing an amended 2013 return to recoup vast over-payment.
Link between Federal and State returns not obvious either, resulting in my call to support.
Telephone support system was great. System put me in the queue and then the support staff called me back. I did not need to wait on hold for a half hour! Hooray! During the phone call, I had a several minute wait while support person got the answer, but the explanation was clear enough and resolved my question.

Fairly Easy to Use

It was fairly easy to use. I was surprised that I had to pay to E-file my State return - I would think that would be included since it says it includes the State return.
What's great about it: Ease of Use
What's not so great: Contributions for Goodwill not as easy as last year.
